Solidarity Hour... The One With India Shore
Singer/songwriter India Shore - one half of the up and coming Brooklyn music duo Boyish - shared her story on our latest incarnation of Solidarity Hour.
India founded Boyish last year along with Claire Altendahl after “Feeling the need to start over, graduating college, and having no idea what is going on.” You can’t get much more aware than that!
We talked about her inspiration and process for songwriting and which bands she’d love to open for once live music happens again. (Noting that almost all of us hadn’t heard of ANY of the bands she mentioned, we asked her to share a Spotify playlist to help get us up to speed. You can find A Boyish Quarantine Experience Playlist here to make you a little more musically savvy.)
Throughout our hour together, India helped us reconnect with our early ambitions and big dreams, and the importance of just taking action even if you don’t have it all figured out. We were also lucky enough to have her sing for us before the hour was up. She’s undeniably fearless in her commitment and passion for making music and undaunted by the amount of work it’s going to take to make it all happen. If you want to be inspired by pure, raw talent and energy, you won’t want to miss this Solidarity Hour.
India and Boyish just released their new single and music video, F*** YOU HEATHER, and had all of us wondering... what exactly did Heather do to deserve such a tribute? You’ll have to listen to find out...
