Solidarity Hour... The One With Joshua Clark
You may have seen our most recent Solidarity Hour guest on CNN in this clip: CNN Newsroom-2020-04-06
The hour was fascinating as we learned so much from Joshua Clark, who is going on his 19th year in education, and currently Head of School at The Schenck School.
We learned of Josh’s personal journey into education (which was not his original plan), some of what the latest research has found with dyslexia, and why no parent should feel their child is “behind” in school right now.
Josh opened up many of our eyes into the complexity of planning and decision-making he and other schools are currently faced with. He took us through several if-then situations that need to be thought of, and the 5 different scenarios his school is specifically thinking of for the new normal.
Josh explained challenges including how both schools and workplaces will be “going back” in different ways, and then not every school going back the same way, and why the need for planning a physical and distance learning program at the same time is going to be critical in moving forward.
Whether you’re a parent or not, you’ll be fascinated by what Josh shares within the hour!
