Solidarity Hour... The One With Sean Reardon
I don’t mind saying both Vicki and I were a little nervous about the first one. This one was way better - more natural, relaxed and insightful. A few highlights:
Sean Reardon, CEO of MIQ, Was Fabulous!
Sean shared what he’s been going through as a personal level as a CEO responsible for a large group and the value decisions they are making. A couple of things struck a chord - “news” is not “coverage”. One of his keys for self-care in order to make the tough calls with empathy was to limit his intake - “I insulated myself from coverage and felt better”
Vicki talks about “The Big Leap,” by Gay Hendricks
In her wonderful way, Vicki brought this book to life in the context of of the current crisis. Talking through the idea of how we tend to “cap our levels of joy” because of the fear of the unknown and fear of change. A cool little one-minute exercise was done on the little things that make us happy!
Three Phases + Three Levels
Last time I talked about the 3 phases we will go through - Chaos, Acceptance, and New Normal. This time I added a dimension - Self & Family, Team, Company. This “9” box can really help focus your emotions and problem solving without getting overwhelmed!
Huge thanks to Breah for visualizing again.
