Solidarity Hour... The One with Kathryn Woods
As we look towards the holiday season what better time for self -reflection as we prepare for the new year. A challenge for many of us is public speaking, and taking control of the room when communicating in small meetings or big presentations. We were fortunate to have Kathryn Woods, Communication and Speaking Coach, join us for our latest solidarity hour.
Kathryn is founder of Confident Communication and has over 20 years of experience as a speech language pathologist… and ironically is a recovering shy person! She shared tips for calming your nerves, things to think about to improve storytelling to engage your audience; and thoughts for how to truly connect with people when presenting and speaking that really illustrates her masterful skills training speakers to be confident when communicating in any situation. YOU CAN stand out as the expert you are! Additionally, Kathryn makes an excellent point….”you shouldn’t be the best kept secret in your industry!”
Tune in as she shares simple communication and vocal techniques that convey confidence, charisma, and authority when you speak so you too can capture the attention of your audience or clients, and make a bigger impact.
Remember, all speaking is public speaking and whether you have stage fright or love an audience, you can learn to make one simple shift at a time in how you communicate in order to captivate your listeners, grow your business, and achieve your goals.
