Solidarity Hour... The One With John Timoney
"Everyone is interested in money, and almost all of us feel a chronic concern, or even fear, that we will never really have enough of be able to keep enough of it. Many of us pretend that money isn't important to us, or think it shouldn't be. Many of us live openly with the accumulation of money as our primary goal. No matter how much money we have, or don't have, the worry that we don't or won't have enough of it quickens our heart around money issues. The harder we try to get it, or even try to ignore it or rise about it, the tighter money's grip on us grows" - “The Soul of Money,” by Lynne Twist.
Born in Belfast and having lived on a number of continents, our fabulous guest John Timoney has reinvented himself successfully a number of times, more recently after the 2008 financial crisis. We talked to John about scarcity consciousness, money as energy and what you can do to make sure you’ll be ok financially.
Having had the rug pulled out from under him in 2008, John talked through what it’s like when everything you know about the business world turns topsy turvy.
Listen to the recording to hear his remarkable story as well as what living through a number of global crises has taught him and how he’s guiding his clients in order to be able to weather the current storm.
Join us for our next Solidarity Hour on Friday at 1pm PT / 4pm ET, where we’ll have Teo Alfero, owner of the wolf sanctuary outside of LA, tell us how wolves are handling this crisis. Their lessons will make us pause and reflect why we are so quick to panic. We may even get to hear one howl!
